Small change, big impact
Climate change is harming our planet, but if we all make a small change, we can make a big impact.
As a company that relies heavily on the use of timber we are doing our upmost as a business to become more socially responsible, so we have teamed up with (more:trees) which is a platform that enables us, as a business to plant trees, so we can help sequester carbon dioxide in the future. Sometimes it's the little things that count.
For every order for new windows or doors that we receive, we plant a tree for that customer through More:Trees. It is a small change, that can make a big impact.
What are Pane in the Sash doing to become more socially responsible?
As a business we have made it our duty to act in the best interests of our environment, so wherever possible we are working hard to reduce our carbon footprint.
What we doing to help:
We use Sustainable Suppliers - We have worked hard to find suppliers that are sustainable yet still provide exceptional quality products.
We use Accoya wood on the majority of our projects. Sustainable wood is timber that has been harvested responsibly from well managed forests that are continuously replenished and ensures that there is no damage to the surrounding environment, or to native flora and fauna.
We use Teknos Paint on all of our projects. A High quality, low-VOC paint that works in perfect partnership with Accoya Wood.
We have switched to Online Meetings and Online Surveys - In the last year we have moved 95% of our meetings to online meetings and we are working toward online surveys which are at 50% (Summer 2024). Due to the nature of new windows, measuring correctly is essential so not all of our surveys can take place online, however, we are working hard to facilitate the ones that can be.
We Plant Trees - Even though the timber we use is harvested responsibly and sustainably, we have chosen to plant a tree for each customer that purchases new windows or doors from our business through more~:Trees.
