OUR PROCESS
SURVEY
Once you have made an enquiry, our aim is to provide an online survey or send a surveyor to your home within 14 days of your original request.
Site surveys can take up to an hour depending on how many windows in your home require assistance. Online surveys can be quicker depending on how fast you can send over pictures and measurements.
Surveys are free of charge - However; we can only provide a free of charge survey for homes and property that are owned by the customer. We can still provide a survey and quotation for homes and properties that are in the process of being purchased or have an interest in being a future purchase, however in these situations there is a charge for this survey and the current owner will need to be present and/or give permission for access during the survey.
QUOTATION
Our surveyor will aim to have a no obligation, competitive quote back to you within 14 days of visiting your home.
From time to time the surveyor may need to re-visit your home a second or even a third time to take additional measurements or re-survey. This isn’t anything to cause alarm, just standard procedure as often measurements will be double checked before cut lists are made and given to the team in the workshop.
PROJECT START
Work on your windows will start as soon as possible on a date that is convenient for you.
If new/replacement windows are required there is a lead time of 8 - 12 weeks (minimum) to make your new windows or doors from scratch in our workshop.
The wood of choice we use for new replacement windows is Accoya.
It is important to us that all our fitters are approachable and friendly and each step of the way they will be chatting you through the work they are doing in your home.
QUALITY CONTROL
Once the work on your home is complete, a senior fitter will walk you around the windows one final time and take you through the work that has been done in detail.
Pane in the Sash offer a 3 year guarantee* on the craftsmanship of new/replacement windows.
Timber windows that are maintained regularly with good quality paint, will last for years. We recommend the re-decoration of wooden windows every five years to keep water and environmental impacts out.
*3 year guarantee is for new replacement windows that Pane in the Sash supply only. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee new windows that have been purchased elsewhere but fitted by us.
