Accoya Delays & Price Increases

Stock availability of Accoya has been a real struggle in recent months and this will continue until late 2022.
April seen the Accoya annual factory shut down at Arnhem to coincide with the start-up of the new 4th reactor. The result of this seen zero production during the month of April 2022.
Although adding the 4th reactor is obviously a good thing it will be some time before this will have any reasonable effect on volume.
Like most other suppliers ACCSYS have announced they will be implementing a "temporary" surcharge for gas or an EPP (Energy Price Premium) as they like to call it.
At this stage we are unsure how long it will last but this will take effect from 1st May. ACCSYS have already announced an increase of approx. 15% that will take effect from supply 1st June onward.

During this period Pane in the Sash will be offering an alternative timber. Please speak to our surveyor during your survey about the different options of hardwood available.
